They find Jane sitting in a park, when they arrest her she begs them to not touch the bag full of money, saying, “They have my daughter!”In the interrogation room, Jane says hitting the Alderman was an accident, as he came out of nowhere. She says the man told her if she stopped she would never see her daughter again. Her daughter was supposed to go to the museum with her class, but the man called her saying her phone was hacked and she was being watched so if she sent a text or hung up, she would never see her daughter, Emma (Nola Tellone) again. Antonio is shocked that the men only wanted 8 grand. Stone asks if anyone is buying her story. Nagel questions why the kidnappers would care where the money came from and Anna Valdez (Monica Barbaro) wonders why would they insist on her renting a car when she owns a brand new Mercedes; the call she received is also a dead end since it came from a burner phone.

Once they check her history, Stone asks if it is possible this was an accident but Antonio said she didn’t stop. Nagel suggests she may have panicked. Stone tells Nagel and Antonio to inform Jane’s ex- husband about their missing daughter. He is shocked to learn that Emma is missing but Antonio says FBI is working on locating her. Antonio asks him to come back with them so they can question him further. Captain Reynolds says he has no idea who Emma’s friends are and is surprised his ex didn’t call the police right away. As Antonio and Nagel leave their separate interrogation rooms, Anna arrives with Emma, who was on her class trip the whole time. Anna and Stone walk with Jefferies, who learns that Emma was only virtually kidnapped; he says unfortunately, the funeral he needs to attend is very real.
